We are blessed with many lovely local villages and towns. In this blog, little by little, I will be adding suggested day trips around the area. The local villages often have night markets & fairs in the summer (flyers can be found while you’re picking up the morning’s croissants at our local baker). And don’t miss the famous Unesco world heritage town of St Emilion (just 20mins away), or our next door villages of Pessac sur Dordogne & Gensac, or the nearby town of Ste Foy la Grande and, if this is your first visit to Aquitaine, you must do a day trip (at least) to the splendid city of Bordeaux (just over an hour away by car, or an hour by our local direct train service).
